Each year I like to raise money for a worthy charity when I undertake my annual cycling challenge.  This year I have chosen Kids First Trust after speaking with an old Raleigh International friend of mine, Gloria, who also happens to be the CEO.

The Kids First Trust Charity
Kids First Trust is a child-centered children's charity that seeks to inspire, empower and help children realise their potential. All the money raised from the cycle ride will go towards the Playground Partnerships Award programme. Playground Partnerships gives children a unique chance to grow a whole range of skills, working together to create their own playground.  Approximately 40,000 children aged 4-11yrs have already participated in the scheme, winning £2m worth of grants to transform their playgrounds.

Play is the work that children do. In sponsoring Julien, you are making a significant difference to their lives. For more information about the Playground Partnerships Award programme check this out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=miX9Y-67FoE

If you would like to find out more about Kids First Trust, you can visit their website: www.kidsfirsttrust.org

Please give as generously as possible to this most worthy cause.

A little about the team:
The team is made up of myself, Dave Smith and Angelique Augereau.  In the weeks leading up to this trip, we have all be training in isolation due to our geographic locations.  Dave has been on a tour of Australia and New Zealand, Angelique is based in San Francisco and I am based here in London.  This will certainly be the most far flung organisation I have ever been involved with!
