Asirus supports the Scottish Ambulance and Fire and Rescue Services through GRIP (Grid Reference Identification Project) providing the location, access, personal and medical details of asthma and other at-risk patients in rural and remote areas of Scotland, for entry into their emergency control and dispatch databases.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I plan to run the Stornoway Half Marathon on the 24th May 2008 in aid of Asirus. I have chosen this charity in memory of my friend Carol Maclean.  Asirus is a Scottish charity whose remit is to support asthma sufferers in rural areas.  They have two fundamental objectives;  the support of the rapid response emergency transport systems and the supply of nebulisers to at-risk asthma sufferers living in remote areas.

I have enjoyed the challenge and hope the sun shines in Stornoway on the 24th May.
