Whizz-Kidz aims to improve the quality of life of disabled children and young people in the UK through the provision of customised mobility equipment such as wheelchairs and tricycles. It is dedicated to providing help and advice to the children and their families and raising awareness of mobility-related issues through national campaigning. Batley can't even walk to the end of the road and back without breaking a sweat I hear you cry! Well its day one of training and thirty minutes ago I would have argued this not to be the case. However, having just returned, slightly sweaty and breathless, from running to the top of the road and back, its seems I have a bit of a situation on my hands! Have I ever ran a step before in my life? No. Did I realise exactly how far 26 miles was when I agreed to take part? No. Will I cross the finish line on the 26th April? You bet your sweaty trainers I will! My lack of fitness and paniced state aside I am obviously not just doing this for my love of agony. Whizz-Kidz is an amazing charity which you can read about below or at their website, and we need your support. Credit Crunch, Credit Smunch, step away from your caramel macchiato and get donating...
