My story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
As you are probably aware I have had renal failure for a number of years. However since moving to Dorset a few years ago I have discovered a passion for sailing. On Saturday 19th June I intend to take part in the Round The Island Race. This is one of the largest yacht races in the world with over 1600 boats taking part, and is a race around the Isle Of Wight. I will be sailing on the boat Watanga which will be skippered by my partner Martin, together with my brother Mark, & friends Graham & Greg.
I thought it would be a great idea to incorporate my love of sailing with an opportunity to raise some money for the Dorset Kidney Fund. This is a regional charity which raises monies to help renal patients specifically in Dorset.

The Dorset Kidney Fund raises donations to assist renal patients, their families & carers throughout the area covered by the Renal Unit at the Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester. All monies raised go towards the purchase of equipment and facilities for the benefit of kidney patients.
