I have also chosen to forego the option offered to participants of ‘keeping’ a third of the money they raise for charity, to fund their entrance and training fees and have instead chosen to fund the necessary £7,000 myself, privately, allowing every penny of the money raised to be directed towards charity. MBA has contributed the 8 paid weeks of my time necessary for me to complete the challenge and raise further funds for charity.
The race’s official charity is the Philip Green Memorial Trust (PMGT), helping sick and disabled children throughout the United Kingdom and overseas. It supports welfare, medical and educational projects, as well as helping individual children to lead a normal life. PGMT’s current project will be helping to build a fully integrated nursery school in northwest London where disabled and able-bodied children can learn together. In addition to the UK projects, the Trust focuses its efforts on children throughout the world.
MBA and myself would be most grateful for any contribution you might be able to make to support my endeavour and the Philip Green Memorial Trust and we thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
