Guys, I said I'd never do another marathon but this is it: the Royal Parks Half Marathon on the 11th October and then the Dublin Marathon on the 26th. Admittedly it seems a little bonkers to do two long runs in one month but there's nothing like a challenge! I've started the training and cut down on the beer so there are no excuses now!
This year I'm going to run for a charity called People and Planet. They support schools, colleges and universities take action on issues such as climate change, human rights and ending world poverty. They work closely with schools in Oxfordshire raising awareness among young people through assemblies, workshops and PSHE and Citizenship classes. They have supported over 70 universities nationwide achieve Fairtrade status which has massively increased demand for Fairtrade products and has quickly and directly improved the lives of farmers in poor countries.
