Story
On Sunday, 1st June 2014 a charity walk, starting from Swallow Village Hall and following a 4.5 mile circular route through undulating Lincolnshire Wolds countryside and woodland will take place from 10.30am.
As well as raising funds for LRSN, the walk is in memory of James ‘Worzel’ Worthington, a trustee of the charity who died suddenly in September 2013. James was a young solicitor specialising in agricultural law, working with Langleys of Lincoln, and his contribution and commitment to LRSN was extremely valued.
Meryl Ward, chairman of Lincolnshire Rural Support Network said, “Lincolnshire is recognized as a rural idyll, but there is another Lincolnshire “where human frailty and harsh rural economics mean there will always be those who, at some time in their life, need immediate and practical help. This is where LRSN steps in, walking with rural families who are going through difficult times.”
