Our personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Open Door Youth Counselling Service will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

I didn't write that. However, it is, undoubtedly, an admirably informative and persuasive piece of text- so i thought i'd better not delete it. Here is my spiel, copied shamelessly from the sponsorship form:

From the 8th-12th September, Messrs Evans, Bedford, Arthur and Garrett will be cycling the 230 miles from Malin Head to Mizen Head. This is the entire length of Ireland.
In order to make some attempt to justify our stupidity, we are raising money for a charity- Open Door Youth Counselling. This is a local charity based in Sutton, and one in dire need of support. Unlike a national charity, where donations are simply added to a massive money pot, Open Door is a small, and extremely worthwhile, charity- so your donations really do mean something.
We’ll be going through a lot of pain (and Guinness), and the ride is going to be pretty tough. We therefore feel it only right that you should take the cost of a drink or two, and show your support- of us, Open Door, and the poor Irish who will have to put up with us for four days. Get donating!

Here is a link to an article featured in the Croydon Advertiser recently, concerning our event. It's not very pleasant, but it does let you know a bit more about the ride and the reasons behind it.
