Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
I am running this year's Reading Half Marathon for Hazel's Footprints Trust. This is a cause close to my own heart and to the hearts of so many of my friends.
Hazel Scott Aiton was just 21 years old when she was tragically killed in a car accident near her farming home in the Scottish Borders in August 2004. She touched the lives of so many people, not least of all the children at Otjikondo Village School Foundation, when she worked there on her Gap year.
Hazel’s Footprints Trust aims to help people gain the life-enhancing experiences of voluntary work in an under-privileged environment overseas and make a positive impact to the lives of the locals in that area. My own gap year taught me the values of this.
Donating through this site is simple, swift and totally secure. If you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thanks for your support and I’ll maybe see you at the finish line.
