Howdy Cricket Lovers!!

Before you read any further I must warn you that by the end of reading this section you are probably going to think me and the rest of my team taking part in this event are clinically insane, but its all for an AWESOME cause, so please read on!!

My local cricket club Blunham C.C. has over the last few years had a massive increase in size, particularly in the colts section, to an extent the club is a victim of its own success in as much as our facilities are now no where near adequate enough to accommodate the size of junior player base that now plays at the club.

We aim to raise £40,000 to refurbish and extend the existing pavilion, plus a further £34,000 for nets.

To raise funds towards this aim we are going to try to break the World Record for the Longest Continuous Game of Cricket. This will take place from 9am on Friday the 19th of September to 8pm on Sunday the 21st of September. 59 hours playing through 2 nights to beat the current record of 35 hours and unratified attempts of 50 and 55 hours set by our Antipodean cousins. It will obviously be very tiring so your support, however small, will be much appreciated.
