My daughter Lydia has decided that on her 9th birthday (25th September 2014) she is going to have 7 inches of her hair cut off and it will be donated to Little Princess Trust, which is a charity that makes wigs for children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatments.

She is hoping people will sponsor her to do this, and the sponsor money will be donated to Cancer Research UK.

She loves her long hair and always used to say she would never cut it, but she has recently decided she wants to help people suffering from cancer, as her grandmother went through cancer treatment a couple of years ago, and Lydia was saddened by how ill she was at the time.
