Why your donation matters

You might not have heard of lymphoma before. In fact, the first time that most people do is when they’re directly affected by it. And that can be pretty frightening. That’s where we come in.

The Lymphoma Association is working hard to raise as much awareness as possible of lymphoma – which is the most common cancer in the under 30s and the 5th most common diagnosed overall in the UK - and provide vital emotional support and information to patients and their families.

We are the only specialist charity in the UK dedicated to doing this and all our services are free of charge. However, we rely on the generosity of people like you to be able to keep them running.

Please donate now and help give a lifeline of support to those who need us.

Case study: donations in action

“Nothing compares with being given a cancer diagnosis. It was the worst day of my life. On a Google search that same day I found the Lymphoma Association and I honestly don’t know what I would have done without them.

I had so many questions and it was such a relief to be able to call the helpline where someone at the end of the phone could answer them and support me emotionally and I still recall many nights when I was talking to others in the Lymphoma Association chatroom until 3am in the morning.

When I started chemotherapy treatment, they put me in touch with a buddy – someone who has been through a similar lymphoma experience. My buddy was wonderful; it was so valuable talking to someone who had really ‘been there’.

I also decided to attend a Lymphoma Association support group. I quickly realised how valuable face to face support was and have made some wonderful friends.

The Lymphoma Association has been there for me in every possible way.”
