My personal message:

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. 

I am going to Peru to represent Discovery Vine Childcare on the 4children's Peru Trek Challange 2007! 

 I'm going to walk the Inca Trail, treking through the mountains,  forests and ancient ruins in Peru for 4 days before reaching Machu Picchu. I will then spend 4 days helping restore and  redecorate The San Luis Gonzales School near Cusco. 

The school is regarded as being amongst one of the poorest schools in the region, well known for the poverty of educational facilities and infastructure. In particular the school lacks basic amenities - 50% of the classrooms lack electricity, lighting and heating and many of the windows are broken.  

This project will also be assisting in providing books, pens and paper for the children, undertaking a nutritional and medical programme, dental check ups and teaching English.

Its a challenge of a lifetime and a chance for me to make a difference to a group of disadvantaged children. It will also be a challange for me to leave my children for2 weeks. They are happy for me to go but I have had to promise not to eat a guinea pig-the local delicacy!

Please help me raise as much money as i can so i will be able to achieve this amazing challenge.
