I write this as having just returned from finishing the Great North Run in a time of 3hrs 14mins. Slower than last year but I think I did well considering the heat! Sadly 4 runners died this year but this must not take anything away from everyone who did take part and the organisers who do a marvelous job of keeping things running very effectivly.
I will try again next year - all bodily parts seem to be okay.
