Story
Here we go again with the annual staff participation in the Great Manchester 10 km Run on Sunday 22nd May 2016.
The Manchester Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre cares for over 420 cystic fibrosis patients across the Greater Manchester and Lancashire area and makes it one of the largest centres in the UK. We provide inpatient and outpatient services for our patients with a holistic approach to the management of CF.
Cystic Fibrosis is a life threatening genetic disorder that primary effects the lungs with repeated chest infections, breathlessness and thick secretions. It also impacts on the digestive system, liver disease, kidney damage, diabetes and pancreatic insufficiency.
This year we are running so we can keep supporting our patients with the highest quality of care and keep continuing the fight against cystic fibrosis. All the money raised is going straight to the patients of MACFC for their welfare and benefit.
This year we have a fantastic participation from the staff, so lets meet TEAM CF 2016:
- Rowland Bright-Thomas - Consultant
- Lucy Wadsworth - Physiotherapist
- Fiona Hynes - Physiotherapist
- Kim Driver - Physiotherapist
- Danielle Shaffi - Physiotherapist
- Charlotte Rourke - Sister
- Carl Bethell - Staff nurse
- Ruth White - Dietitian
- Stewart Warren - Admin team
As well as staff involvement this year we also have family and friends of patients running along with us who are also helping us raise money for the unit and our patients. A big THANK YOU for everyone running for MACFC this year.
Please help us in raising as much as we can for the patients of Manchester Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre as this is a cause that is close to all of our hearts and we strive to deliver the best care and facilities we can.
Thank you
The CF Team of 2016
