Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Well I did it! The challenge involved climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in 24hrs. Any yes, that includes travelling between them, with very little sleep and climbing snowdon in the dark!
The weather was absolutley atrocious and scuppered any chance we had of doing it in the allotted time. A blizzard on Ben Nevis and a hail storm on a pitch-black Scafell Pike put paid to that. But we plodded on and completed 2 and three quarter mountains in about 30 hours (Snowdon was too dangerous to reach the summit so we were turned back). I've tried to upload a piccy of the trip but it's not working, so you'll have to look on my facebook for them!
Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me - and for those who haven't it isn't too late! Chatting to the team on the challenge made me even more aware of just how badly the CPC needs our help. They receive no statutory funding yet need to raise £250 000 a year to keep the centre open. For more info about the charity visit http://www.cpckent.org/.
I am paying the costs for me to go on this trip, so every penny of sponsorship raised will go to CPC.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cerebral Palsy Care (Kent) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
