In just my first week of work here I've started to understand that Asha is the best thing that ever could have happened to the 46 slums it works in. Asha has revolutionized the way that health care is provided in poverty stricken areas, setting up a system within the community that is stable and will continue to improve living and health conditions for the future. Asha puts a huge emphasis on education and is sending slum kids to college for the very first time this year—just one example of the incredible work that is being done. It can use all the help it can get to pay the fees and to continue to buy things as expensive as immunizations and as cheap as notebooks and pens.
