Kids Company is a children’s charity that offers emotional, practical and educational support to some 11,000 lone and vulnerable children. Many of the service-users have suffered emotional, physical and sexual abuse and often do not have a responsible carer in their lives who can advocate on their behalf. Kids Company operates through a drop-in crisis centre in South London, a specialist education unit and offers therapeutic services in over 30 schools. Thanks for visiting Kids Company's fundraising page.

Four incredible young people from Kids Company's Urban Academy (http://www.urbanacademy.org.uk/ ) will be taking part in the Madrid Marathon on Sunday April 26th 2009. This challenge has inspired and required dedication, motivation and ambition to achieve their goals, and each young person has demonstrated their abilities to sustain these disciplines.

By sponsoring these young people you will be inspiring them to keep treading one foot in front of the other, whilst raising funds to keep funding the integral sports education at the Urban Academy.

A number of young people at Kids Company have experienced a distinct amount of trauma and neglect in their lives, your support keeps their heads held high and encourages them to keep pushing forward, achieving their goals and challenging themselves both mentally and physically.
