Dear friends, family, colleagues and anyone else who wishes to read this.

I know that this is going to sound barmy, but I have decided to take part in a Tandem parachute Jump with the Army's Silver Stars parachute display team on 24th May 2008.  What with the events of the past few months or so I just feel that 2008 is as good a year as any to do something positive and a little outside my comfort zone.

Some of you might also think that leaving a perfectly good aircraft at 12 thousand feet strapped to the front of a hulking great army paratrooper is also quite foolhardy, and I would agree with you, but hey, he might be good looking, so I am prepared to take that challenge.

Of course, this is not all for my benefit, SCOPE (the Cerebral Palsy charity and formally the Spastics Society) will benefit from this stunt as they will be the beneficiaries of any sponsorship money.  That's where you come in of course, and I am hoping that you will all dig deep and sponsor me online.
