Hello Everyone!
Thanks so much for visiting my fundraising page. I'm running this half-marathon in support of Build Malawi - a project I recently found out about and plan to become more involved with in the coming year. Please take a minute to find out more about the aims of the Build Malawi project.
Build Malawi is a small community-based project that will be building a Primary School and Community Centre in Chisala. The project's aims are as follows:
- Provide for the mental, moral and physical welfare of young people through the furtherance of education, regardless of age or gender
- Provide a safe and conducive environment for learning
- Implement a wide variety of programmes that will allow individuals to build and grow
- Promote HIV/AIDS awareness and focus on problems concerning gender/female roles in society
- Promote the sharing of knowledge between cultures as well as a sustainable and responsible living. This will be helped by encouraging small scale commercial enterprise and small scale farming
- Tackle environmental issues, such as the problem of de-forestation

This is an amazing grass roots project that is being carried out in total partnership with the community in Chisala. Tired of donating money and not knowing where it goes?
