Ok guys - I am taking part in the BUPA Great Manchester 10K Run ... dressed as ... wait for it ... a smurf ... yeah you all remember them ... the little blue people.
I'm not doing this for the sake of it ... believe you me I don't like dressing like an idiot in public ... anyway ... the next bit explains why I'm doing it:
The charity will be one that I have been involved with on and off as a helper since 2002 and is a wonderfull cause- The HCPT.
Every year, we take children with disabilities on a holiday to Lourdes in France. We try and make it a fab week for the kids, providing for their every need. This comes at a cost though- £580 per child - the full cost of each child is paid for by the Trust - and the helpers pay their owns fares.
Please give gererously ... you might think it's a small amount of money but it's not - even the smallest amount goes towards taking a child to Lourdes at Easter - every penny counts!
If you would like any more information on the charity, take a look at our website www.hcpt.org.uk.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: HCPT - The Pilgrimage Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
