Hi All

I am running (although I use the word "running" rather loosely as I will probably be crawling by mile 15!) the London Marathon on 26th April and I would really appreciate your support.

I have chosen to run for a small charity focusing on the elderly members of our community. Contact the Elderly provides support and company to the elderly who are rarely visited by friends or family and can often spend days or weeks without seeing anyone. The charity organises outings such as afternoon teas, trips to the theatre etc giving its members something to look forward to.

The training is going well and I have only picked up 'a few niggles' so far - although I had better not speak too soon! So whilst I put in the miles and brave the freezing weather conditions I would be most grateful if you would kindly spare a thought for the elderly (we all grow old one day - you know!) and make a donation to my chosen charity.
