We’re Age UK and we’re here to make sure every older person feels included and valued. Whether it’s providing free information and advice, tackling loneliness and isolation or campaigning for older people’s rights – we’ll be there. Your support makes it possible.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Having a quiet drink with friends one day, someone suggested a bike ride - "I'm up for that" I thought! A few days later I was reminded I'd agreed to a coast to coast ride of 140 miles!  So on April 4th - 7th (strangely not the 1st) I'll be setting off from Whitehaven in the West to Sunderland in the East on my bike.

In order to find a reason for getting out of bed on winter Sunday mornings to train for this feat (2 miles is my normal bike ride) - a worthy cause was needed, so I've no backing out now! Wish me luck :) & thanks for the support - m

** training update - we've trained every Sunday since 25th January + additional days where possible, even in snow, rain & mist, covering over 300 miles to prepare, with the biggest day so far covering 90 miles**

Oh & in answer to Cousin Jacks question below - next week! :)
