Post Race Update!
Well I made it despite wind and rain! It was Manchester after all - I expected nothing less! As you can tell from the wet and bedraggled photo I was not ideally dressed for the event. I ran in a traditional Tibetan costume which is normally worn with a bearskin hat - fortunately a hat was not available!
Many thanks to everyone who has sponsored me, both on and offline. If you haven't got around to it yet..... the site will be open for a little while longer and every penny is desperately needed for the school.
Thank you all for your support!

Thank you my friends for visiting my fundraising page! Yes it's that time of year again! When I pound the pavements for Charity. This year however the charity in question is smaller and very much in need of your money!
The Nagajuna Trust is a tiny UK based charity set up to support the Nagajuna School in Nepal. The school provides a rare opportunity for children, not just an education but love, safety and a home. The children are mostly orphans but all are impoverished. Most are from Tibetan culture but the school never turns away a child in need. Today the school supports over 120 children, aged 4 to 15.
The Current Challenge – Build a new school! We need to raise £100,000!This year the school faces an epic challenge. The landlord of the current school building has sold it and the school was forced to leave at the end of December 2008. Staff have been desperately looking for anywhere suitable in Pokhara to rent, but to no avail. Pokhara is densely populated and land is at a premium as it’s sandwiched between mountains and a lake. The only option, if the school is not to close permanently, is to build a new school! We need to raise £100,000, and we need your help.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Nagajuna Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
I hope you will dig deep for this worthy cause and if any of you would like to support the school on a more long term basis let me know and I will get someone from the charity to contact you about making regular donations (e.g. £12 a month) to support a child.
Many Thanks!
Margaret
