As you may know in October half term I will be trekking to Everest base camp. So many people have asked if I am doing this mad adventure for charity, that I thought it would be a missed opportunity to raise money for a good cause. The trip is personally funded so every penny that is raise will go to the charity.
The charity I have chosen is 'In the Pink'. They are a hard working local charity that raise money for a research project into breast cancer.
Cancer is something that affects all our lives. They say that 1 in 3 of us will be affected by it and each person has a story about someone close to them that it has affected. Both of my mother's sisters have had breast cancer along with my grandmother too and sadly my Aunt and grandmother have passed away.
