On October 26th I am taking part in the Great South Run for the first time!
I am running in aid of the Gift of Sight charity the details of which can be seen below - I am proud to be part of Professor Lotery's research team working as a Research Nurse.
The ten mile run will be my first (and maybe my last!) - so please give generously - although any donation of any amount will be gratefully accepted. I am hoping to complete the course in less than 1 hour 40 minutes - assuming there is not the usual ferocious headwind along the Southsea seafront!

I completed the run non-stop in a time of 1 hour 39 minutes and 20 seconds despite a very painful heel injury at 5 miles, making me a somewhat dissappointing 7131st., although 357 for my age and gender so not too bad. Room for improvement next year! Its still not too late to sponsor me and all donations will be appreciated. Thank you to those who have sponsored me already.
