My story

This summer I have agreed along with two others,  to do a Sportif in the French Alps.    As I'm doing this daft challenge, I decided that I maybe able to do some good at the same time.

I have decided to support Marrie Curie is a charity which sets out to support those who are living with Cancer and their families.  This included my Mum who, as many of you will know, was an amazing woman who was liked by and an insperation to, all who met her.

The event it'self is a one day behemoth, covering 174km [108miles] and takes in 3 of the toughest mountain passes in France (Col du Glandon, Col de Telegraphe and Col de Galibier), finishing with the infamous 21 hairpin climb to the top of Alpe D’Huez used in the Tour De France.  Whilst doing this we'll climb 5000m [16500ft].  take a look at
