Well we have finished and it took us a mere 10 days. I say mere, there were quite a few painful hills. We are glad that we have done it and in the same breath we are glad it is over (or rather our backsides are glad!). 1100 Miles, 11(ish) Days, 2 blokes in lycra!!!
Gaz and I made the decision in September 2007 to carry out the most famous long distance cycle ride in the UK - John O'Groats to Lands End.
We have decided to carry out this venture in aid of 4 charities; Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC), Meningitis Trust, the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) and British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association (BLESMA).
The reason for choosing GOSHCC as one of our charities is Gaz's son was treated in the hospital, and as such Gaz is keen to show them his appreciation by giving something back.
