My personal message:

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.  Excuse the duff image but it'll do until I get something better.  The most important thing is to get those pledges coming in.

This is a charity that is close to my heart.  My father died about 20 years ago at the age of 64 after a couple of massive strokes.  I've seen first hand how devastating it can be.

As part of my get thinner and fitter regime, my aim to lose about 50 pounds in weight by next April, and the fact that I find rowing a real gym challenge, this couldn't be better.  But no 10k for me - oh no.  I'm planning 10k a day for the whole week.  With the couple of months I have to warm up I should be able to do that in about an hour a day.

So thats my bit.  The rest is up to your generosity.  I'll set a target of £500 but the more the better.

I know we're all bombarded continually with sponsorship requests but anything you can do to help would be really appreciated.  Of course I should be doing this fitness thing without sponsorship but just think of the extra encouragement I'll have.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
