Last year I was scheduled to run the Great Northern Run but knee trouble forced me to pull out.

This year I have decided to attempt to raise £1,000 for a childrens cancer charity which is a cause very close to my heart. I have never run more than 10km before so to attempt more than double that is quite daunting. ( especially as I like the odd pie or three)

To achieve this I will have to lose 20lbs in 10 weeks and train every day.
