Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

On the 1st November, I will – with your help – be lucky enough to be one of the 30,000 people that will participate in the New York City Marathon. This will only be possible if I raise a total of £3,650 for 'Children in Crossfire', a very worthy charity founded and based here in Derry. It's going to be a big challenge for me, both in terms of raising all this money, and also training for the event, but I am determined to see it through.

Since the start of the year, I have been working for 'Children in Crossfire' (http://www.childrenincrossfire.org/), initially on a voluntary basis, but now working full-time. The people who work there are a great bunch. The charity itself helps people in some of the poorest, most underdeveloped countries in the world, and they work hard to improve the lives of children with very little. Even the smallest donation can go a long way to making a difference.

The training is going well but there is a lot of hard work ahead of me. However, this is where you can help me: by making a donation on this website, you can provide me with some much needed inspiration to get out there and keep going. Best of all, you know it will be going to a great cause.

Many thanks!

Mark
