thanks for arriving here and please read my story and if it interests you afterwards please read my blog  ,http://www.runner786.com/

I believe greatly in charity and in helping others not as able or as fortunate as myself , I feel strongly that people need to stand up and do their part in helping others around them , this can mean raising money yourself or simply "just-giving" to fundraisers like myself , now a days with sites like these we CAN make a huge difference in the world around us just by pressing a button .. so please help me , to help others ..

I have chosen to help raise awareness and funds for MS Society Scotland as I wish to support this deserving  charity with a branch here in Borders.

This amazing charity is dedicated and committed to helping people with MS , their carers and their families ... they are a voluntary group who selflessly work in our community ...

http://www.msborders.org.uk/branch.htmle

Around 85,000 people in the UK have MS and In Scotland it is estimated that there are 10,500 people with MS – more people per capita than anywhere else in the world.

Heres why I started this page and why I have continued it ..

A while ago after Injury I set about trying to become a runner , I worked hard and became an ultra runner... not a great one but good enough to try something big.....

I set a goal to run 3 of the worlds toughest races in 3 months, the first is the reputed "Hardest foot race in the world" , The Marathon Des Sable , a 156 mile race across the Sahara Desert with my entire survival gear on my back .....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy7LVotUaEM

The second was the Scottish Ultra , a very tough 165 mile race over 5 days across our home country of Scotland, and then the Gobi Challenge , a 165mile race across the Gobi Desert in Mongolia .

I went forth and gave it my all ,injury and a poisoned toe in Mongolia stole my goal but I entered the Himalayan 100 a few weeks later , this is a 100 mile long race across the Himalayas and regained my honour with a top 10 finish ..

I have kept the page running as now my "normal" race is someting most consider inspiring and superhuman so please if you find this page , think of me out racing across a mountain or desert all in aid of the MSSociety ..... thank you :)
