Thanks for the donations....not expected....a wonderful suprise ! Together we all raised £224.00 with a further £8.00 promised from Richard & Carrie. Total £232.00. Thats £63.00 more than last time ! Run went well in the end. It was a 10KM run. I felt like giving up after the first KM as I my legs felt dead. I came in 54 mins and 19 seconds ( chip time ) and 56 mins 19 seconds ( Gun / Official time ) which means that I was queueing for 2 minutes just to get over the start line ! This is still 8 minutes quicker than my official time in 2006 which was 64 minutes and 16 seconds Please see link to race website http://www.twocastlesrun.org.uk/ and click on the link to ' results ' for the official results ( just under ' well done runners'). I was 870 out of 2500 which put me in the first 35% which isn't to bad for a short fat bloke ? It was a fabulous day with a wonderful back drop ...really really good. It has inspired me to do it again..and maybe some other event ? I would recommend the Two Castles Event to anyone who fancies a go, as its a great day out. After abstaining from Alcohol for the week prior to the run, I celebrated afterwards with a well earned trip to the pub! Needless to say I woke up next morning feeling a bit dehydrated !
