High Atlas Challenge · 17 October 2007

Foyle Hospice provides palliative care services for patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses while supporting their families and loved ones across the Western Health and Social Trust area in Northern Ireland. We improve the quality of life of patients and support their families.

Story

Hi! My name is Mark Roberts, and thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I have agreed to participate in the 'High Atlas Challenge' next October to raise much needed funds for the Foyle Hospice.  The Atlas Mountains are located in Morroco (N Africa) and the trek will reach heights in excess of 4,000m including the climb of Jbel Toubkal (4,167m).  The trek is an obvious personal challenge but also a method of highlighting the valuable work and services offered by the Foyle Hospice.

My personal reason for undertaking this challenge is because like many, my family has been touched by cancer and is availing of the Foyle Hospice as a service.  Making a donation through this site is an efficient method of supporting my challenge and the good work of the Hospice; and if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no extra cost to you.

I would be grateful if you would support my challenge.

Thank you so much!

Mark
