<p><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial;">Please support me in my first bike riding adventure!</span></p> <p><span style="outline-width: 0px;"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Arial; color: #333333; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 15.0pt; font-family: Arial; color: #333333; background: white;">Thanks to ITAP and my work commute</span><span><span style="outline-width: 0px;">&nbsp;</span>I have regained an interest in cycling.&nbsp; When I heard about Nightrider, a 100km nocturnal ride around the streets of London on the 9th of June, I was keen to take part and was very pleased to hear that LimbPower would be entering a team of amputees,&nbsp;</span>healthcare professionals<span style="outline-width: 0px;">&nbsp;and friends.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Arial; color: #333333; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"> <p><span style="outline-width: 0px;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 15.0pt; font-family: Arial; color: #333333; background: white;">LimbPower is a charity that organises sporting activities for the ambulant disabled.&nbsp; This included a recent amputee running clinic, some of the results of which can be seen in my gallery below.&nbsp; It had been nearly twenty years since I'd even thought of running but with sufficient encouragement and appropriate coaching I gave it go!&nbsp; I believe the more people that get access to this sort of support the better, so am proud to fundraise for Limbpower to help them help others.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Arial;">Although I cycle regularly the distance required for Nightrider should prove a significant challenge.&nbsp; My implant attached prosthesis (ITAP: </span><span style="font-family: Arial;"><a href="http://www.amputee-adventures.org/mark/itap.html">http://www.amputee-adventures.org/mark/itap.html</a></span><span style="font-family: Arial;">) negates issues associated with socket fit but I will need to improve my levels of fitness before attempting such a challenge.&nbsp; Please encourage me in my efforts by donating to such a worthy cause!</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
