The brain is the most complex organ in our body. It controls our emotions, senses and actions. So when it breaks down, we break down. We fund the best research to discover the causes, develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected. Let’s unite to accelerate progress. Today.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

My Mum has suffered from deteriorating health for many years. She suffers from pre-senile dementia, likely caused by a series of small strokes. She began to have problems remembering things and gradually had more and more difficulty communicating with her friends and family. Eventually she required full time care and my father managed to provide this for nearly two years but in the end she had to move to the care home where she now lives.

It was terrible to see my Mum go through this and I hope that by raising money for the Brain Research Trust I am supporting research that will hopefully one day mean that no one else has to.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Brain Research Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
