Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I was really keen to run the London Marathon this year and when I found out that my flatmate Steve and another friend Daryl had managed to secure a place through a charity, I had no excuses but to get off my butt and start training. The three of us have the privilege to be running for St. Michael's Fellowship, an independent charity, based in South London, that has 100 years of experience in providing welfare for families. The charity provides residential projects for vulnerable families, including accommodation, help and training for families where children are at risk, or where there is other emotional, mental or physical hardship.
I was out of the coutnry at the time but my team mates spent an evening visiting one of the residential projects run by St Michael's. Steve and Daryl were really impressed with the work they are doing in the area of child welfare and parenting. The Director, Sue Pettigrew, also has some great projects on the horizon and our support can go a long way to making this happen. So please give generously!
I have never run a marthon before, let alone a half so this is going to be a real challenge. I would appreciate your support by donating to my chosen charity. Think of me on those cold and dark mornings while I am out training. For more information please feel free to visit their website: www.stmichaelsfellowship.org.uk
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Michael's Fellowship will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support!
