My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On Sunday 23rd April 2006, I ran my second ever marathon, and the second for Get Kids Going!

Get Kids Going! is a wonderful charity that helps British disabled children and young people, by providing them with personalised sports wheelchairs and lightweight manual wheelchairs, so that they are able to take part in all kinds of different sports and play out with their friends.

The first time I ran a marathon, my wife was pregnant with our first child. We now have two lovely young boys. I can't think what it would be like for either of them to be disabled, but I know that Get Kids Going! does a fantastic job to make disabled children happier, by allowing them to enjoy sports like most of us can.

On Sunday 23rd April 2006 I made it across the line in 3:49:32 - well ahead of my expectations of under 4 hours. I am truly delighted.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Get Kids Going! will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
