We are taking part in the sucata split this year which is a charity rally across Europe, in a car that has cost us no more than £250......so our chances are slim!!
The aim is to get to Split in Croatia by the 25th May starting out on the 22nd. There will be four of us the car and yes we will be dressed as the JAMAICAN BOBSLED TEAM!!!!!
As an added incentive to donators, we will put your name on the car (no matter how much you donate!!) so you can feel part of the team!!!
We were originally going for a ghostbusters theme (hence the website name), but we couldn't resist the lyrca!!!
It's all for a charity called Gemini, they do a lot of work with schools all over the world.
With the money raised by Sucata Split this year they are planning to run a project to raise awareness of Malaria. Students from over 100 schools around the globe will be able to explore the topic using the case study of Sierra Leone, where it is the biggest killer of children under five. They will explore the reasons why so many people still die from malaria and what is being done by humanitarian aid agencies to prevent this.
