Story

I have entered the Ride London – Surrey 100 this summer (Sunday 31st July), which is a cycle challenge of 100 miles
that has to be completed in 8 hours. I have been offered a place by the Fire Fighters Charity to raise money for them, with my
involvement as a retained fire fighter this is a cause close to my heart.

The ride is a legacy of the 2012 Olympic games which follows the same course and has 24000 participants. It is on closed
roads starting at the Olympic Park, Stratford going through London down into Surrey, doing the Surrey hills then back into London
finishing on the Mall.

The Fire Fighters charity relies on donations to provide treatment, physiotherapy, convalescence & support for families of past
and present fire fighters. To know that this facility is there if you are unlucky to get injured or have a family tragedy to deal
with is a great help, as your local Fire Station & personnel are an integral part of the community.

I have a minimum amount that I have to raise & local firm Manchetts Recovery & Workshops have agreed to be my main sponsor,
supplying help and support. However I need more to reach my target, so I am asking you to sponsor me if possible, it doesn’t matter
how small an amount as it all helps.

I have included a link to my Just Giving page so donations can be made securely online. I also have a sponsorship form
if you wish to donate that way.

I thank you in anticipation of your support.
