MASCARATHON
THIS SUMMER 2012 BENEFIT AND REFUGE WORK TOGETHER TO CREATE
‘THE BENEFIT & REFUGE MASCARATHON’
To raise awareness and money for Refuge, a charity for women and children against domestic violence, make-up brand Benefit Cosmetics has organised a charity run from Scotland to London!
Taking place from the 15 – 29 June 2012 the run will start at Edinburgh and stop off at Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Oxford and cumulating in Spitalfields London.
Along the way there will be a range of city based events for runners and friends to visit including make-upper stations and sample giveaways, a make-up fans dream! To add a touch of Benefit’s sense of fun there will be a mascara ‘batton’ which will be passed from runner to runner (each running 2 miles each) who will run from city to city.
We are raising money for Refuge via JustGiving. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Your donation will go to women and children who urgently need your support:
100% of every £1 that you raise will go directly to the 1,600 women and children Refuge supports.
MASCARATHON will see the benefit family, friends and fans throughout the UK join us in a 500 + miles run starting in Edinburgh, taking in 7 major UK cities and finishing in London 15 days later. Anyone who wants to join us is welcome to do so –there’s fun to be had and money to be raised so no one needs to worry about running prowess…we hope you can join us and COME PARTY!!

Since opening the world's first women's safe house in London in 1971, Refuge has grown to become the UK's largest organisation of its kind, helping and supporting women and children experiencing domestic violence and acting as a national 'lifeline' for up to 80,000 victims of domestic abuse every year.
