Why your donation matters

A small amount of money can make a difference between life and death. Every year 358,000 mothers die during pregnancy or in childbirth. 99% of these mothers are in developing countries.

Maternity Worldwide help mothers in countries where the risk of dying in childbirth is highest.

We have a Safe Birth Fund for those mothers who canot afford to give birth in a health centre.
We train local midwives and doctors to provide the care needed for mothers to have a safe birth.
We empower women by supporting them to set up their own businesses so they can pay for travel to a health centre to give birth.
We provide mothers with maternal health information so they know when to seek help.
