Story
Thank you everyone SO much for your support.
On the 26th April 2009 I completed the Flora London Marathon, finishing in a time of 3 hours 33 minutes My overall position was 4673 out of 36000 runners. It was my first marathon (and definitely not my last!)
As many of you will know, my Mother-in-Law Michelle, was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2007. After two operations and a course of radiotherapy she was thankfully given the all clear.
From talking to others it amazed me just how many people have directly or indirectly been affected by breast cancer, sadly 1 in 9 women in the UK will develop breast cancer at some point in their lifetime, which is why I will be running on behalf of Breakthrough Breast Cancer Suffolk.
My aim is to raise as much money as possible and would love to reach my target of £2000 so please dig deep and sponsor me for this very worthwhile cause.
During the course of my training I have covered more than 600 miles, towards the end, running more than 40 miles a week!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Breakthrough Breast Cancer will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support,
Matt
