210 mile bike ride! · 5 May 2009

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Hi - thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

We have agreed to join some pals on a charity bike ride in honour of a good friend's father who died from Motor Neurone Disease in March 2007. The ride starts on the first weekend in June and is to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (www.mndassociation.org).

I am cycling from Golant in Cornwall to Reading in Berkshire; a little over 210 miles in three days. *Gulp*. That's a tad more than my usual 7 mile commute to work! But then again, it's not as far as Jez, Sam and James who are cycling from Land's End to Reading (275 miles in four days), so extra good luck to them!

We realise that money is tight at the moment and we've just had the London marathon sponsorship season, but it would be great if you would sponsor our efforts and help raise as much money as possible for this great cause.

Thank you very much for your support.

Matthew
