I have once again decided to sign up with International Childcare trust (ICT) for cycle Tanzania in October 2009. For those who are not familiar with ICT, it is a small UK charity which works in direct partnership with local organizations in Africa and Asia to protect children's rights. ICT achieves these objectives by designing, implementing and managing projects in conjunction with local people according to their needs and cultures.
Cycle Tanzania is a 400km off road cycle along the coast of Tanzania, concluding at the Faraja Trust fund, which is a centre where Children living with HIV/AIDS can come for information, support and advice.
As this is my third expedition to Africa I have seen many times the effects of the HIV on communities and how it is a very real problem and especially how education can help ease the spread of this terrible disease.
I'll be covering my own costs of the trip so any money you donate will go directly to helping with HIV/Aids problems in East Africa.
