Hi everybody

Thanks for visiting my page. After having to withdraw after my bike crash last year I will now be running in the London Marathon on 17th April 2011. Apart from my own personal goals I'll once again be trying to raise as much money as possible for Adams Hats.

I've run for Adams Hats before in Barcelona and have been very impressed with the good use they've put the funds to. For those of you that dont know the charity was set up in 2003 in memory of Adam Hay, son of friends Susan and Alistair Hay, to raise money for and awareness of a particular type of childrens neuroblastoma cancer. The charity aims to enhance the quality of lives of children undergoing treatment and also to fund research into neuroblastoma cancer in older children.

You can find out more about the charity at http://www.adamshats.org/ but believe me, it's a very worthy cause.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Adam's Hats gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

We've also set up a marathon blog so I can tell the world about my training progress and how the fundraising's going. Its a new thing for me having never kept a diary but it should give an interesting record of how I'm getting on. I'm going to try my hardest to stick to it.

Many thanks for your support

Matt
