' SPRINGA - LONGA - MAX  '... October,2013

This month sees the setting up of two new funds the  ' Max Bygraves Tribute Fund ' and the ' Max Bygraves Tulip Fund '.

Our objective is to collect money to go towards planting bulbs in retirement home gardens, both locally and nationally, so they will then return year after year , bringing  beautiful tulips from Amsterdam.

Dear family and friends,

    Songs and music have always played a great part in my life and have personally inspired recent fundraising projects involving my late father, Max Bygraves, who passed away in early September, 2012 suffering from an Alzheimer’s condition. This page is also dedicated to my wonderful mother, who is also sadly missed. She was a good , caring and dedicated mother who was always their for us all. May they both rest in peace.

Above, I have added two new photographs, one taken on my parents wedding day September 12th, 1942 and the last one taken together in Australia , in September of 2010, just after their 68th wedding anniversary celebrations. I wrote a song to mark their 50th wedding anniversary, back in 1995. If you wish to make a donation please leave me your email details and I will send you a complimentary recording of this touching ballad, that still brings a tear to my eye.

Please download this song for an older couple or loved who are special to you. in doing so you will help the Alzheimer’s Society and it’s carer’s, who do so much good work throughout the year and not just at Christmas.
