Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I'm playing for the Albion in a match at Conference Premier side Lewes' ground, on May 8th, to raise money for the Robert Eaton Memorial Fund.
The Robert Eaton Memorial Fund was born out of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York City.
Robert Eaton, a lifelongBrighton and Hove Albion fan tragically lost his life in the disaster. and Albion supporters decided to set up a fund in his memory, raising money for disadvantaged young people in the UK and abroad who wish to play football, but find it difficult to do so without help.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of those responsible, the fund has raised over £50,000 so far.
The Fund has made sizeable donations to support the great work that Coaching for Hope is carrying out to promote HIV awareness through football inWest Africa.
The Robert Eaton Memorial Fund has also bought kit and equipment for Los Peladitos, a youth football team in Rob Eaton's adopted city of New York as well as numerous grateful youth teams in Sussexand Croydon.
Thanks to the efforts of ordinaryAlbion fans, giving generously of their time and money to support events, including the annual REMF match, great things have been achieved in Robert’s memory.
The 8 Annual Memorial Match, againstCrystalPalace, will be played on 8 May at the home of Lewes FC. Each of the players will be seeking sponsorship, to raise valuable contributions for the Fund. All donations will be grateful received.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Robert Eaton Memorial Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
