Story
Councillor Penelope Flavell, the Mayor of Northampton will be taking to the skies of Oxfordshire on a wing walk for her chosen mayoral charity: Marie Curie.
The brave feat will be all the more difficult for Councillor Flavell as she wil be battling her fear of heights to complete the challenge and raising money for Marie Curie.
Councillor Flavell said "My first husband, my mother and my aunt all died from different forms of cancer so it is in their memory that I have chosen to support Marie Curie. I am petrified of heights but I am determined to conquer my fear. I thought that by doing something out of the ordinary, I could highlight the work Marie Curie does as an organisation and hopefully raise as much money as possible"
The wing walk is on Saturday 5th September and at: Chiltern Park Aerodrome, Ipsden, Wallingford, OX10 6AS.
Please do come and support the Mayor or donate what you can to help her reach her target!
