<p>One evening in early Feb I was browsing the local paper when I came across an advert for a 12 mile Pub Walk around Pendle in aid of charity. As you can imagine, this sounded just up my street - walking the hills of Lancashire stopping off at a few local hostelries for a drink and all for a good cause! Not much persuasion needed for Dee and managed to rope in Fi and we had a team to register - MDF Amblers.</p>
<p>Little did we know that less than 6 weeks later, my Dad would be diagnosed with cancer and how important giving our support to this local charity may turn out to be. </p>
<p>This has spurred us all on to set our fundraising target higher - all sponsorships will be gratefully received and I know that Pendleside Hospice will put all donations to good use.</p>
